Hard-wearing fronts in a working kitchen — the most scratch-resistant of the three.
Watch out
Edge banding is the weak point; a poor edge lifts with steam over time.

Moderate.
Scope effect
Edge treatment must be specified alongside the face material.

Best for
A clean, low-sheen front with good durability and colour consistency.
Watch out
Shows fingerprints on darker colours; the surface is not repairable if deeply scratched.
Cost effect
Moderate to higher.

Confirm the edge and the face are the same material family.

Best for
Wrapped profiles and shaped fronts a flat sheet cannot do.
Watch out
In a hot, humid kitchen the wrap can lift at edges and near heat sources over time.

The least expensive of the three.

Keep away from direct heat; confirm the position against the hob and oven.
