The right cabinet material for every zone.

Pick where the cabinet goes and how it's used — we recommend the right substrate and the matching ALUMAX route: the FLYHOME P6 value route in dry zones, and ACP / honeycomb aluminium where it's genuinely wet. Moisture-zone suitability decides the substrate — never the budget alone.

A board spec answers three different questions — don't confuse them:

Substrate performanceP6 / plywoodMoisture-related particleboard behaviour — resists humidity, but is not waterproof.
Emission performanceE1 / E0 / ENFFormaldehyde release — indoor air quality, a different question from moisture.
Exposure zoneDry / semi-wet / wetWhere it sits decides the substrate — wet zones need ACP or honeycomb aluminium.

We grade every strong technical claim by its evidence and review them on a schedule. A manufacturer test is not a design lean — we label which is which rather than dress one up as the other.

Manufacturer-testedA figure the product's maker publishes from their own testing or datasheet.
Industry standardEstablished material science or building practice — not specific to one product.
ELS field guidanceWhat ELS has repeatedly seen on Sarawak sites. Experience, not a lab result.
Design recommendationA judgement about how a space should look or feel. Reasonable people may differ.

Claims last reviewed 2026-07-23. Figures are planning guidance, not warranties — real performance depends on the specific product, its installation and the site's exposure, and is confirmed on the product datasheet and after site measurement.
