ELS Bespoke — Individually designed spaces.

Individually designed spaces, carefully resolved.

Tailored layouts, materials and custom details for projects that need a solution beyond standard systems. Available with ELS+ renovation delivery.

Bespoke applies to homeowner and commercial projects. It is its own service and does not sit under StayReady.

When Bespoke fits

Bespoke fits a project that needs meaningful custom design and development.

  • Unusual layouts
  • Custom forms
  • Integrated systems
  • Special finishes
  • Detailed fabrication

Bespoke does not simply mean expensive or premium.

Design possibilities

Curved cabinetry

Concealed doors

Custom metalwork

Lighting integration

Tailored storage

These show the range. Whether a detail can be made, and by whom, is assessed for each project.

Development process

  1. 01

    Brief

Your requirements, the site and any existing drawings are recorded.

  2. 02

    Concepts

Design directions are explored as concept studies for you to react to.

  3. 03

    Detailed design

The chosen concept is developed into drawings and details.

  4. 04

    Samples or prototypes, where needed

Where a detail is new, a sample or prototype may be made first. Whether one is needed, and who makes it, is set in your proposal.

  5. 05

    Fabrication specifications

The specifications a fabricator builds from.

Two ways to commission Bespoke

Bespoke Design & Specification

ELS designs and specifies the custom elements, and how the whole space works together. You receive the design and specification deliverables set in your proposal. Delivery is not included unless it is selected and scoped.

Bespoke with ELS+ Delivery

ELS Bespoke — delivered by ELS+.

The same design commission, with ELS+ Renovation Delivery added. ELS+ coordinates the fabricators, contractors and specialist trades named in your proposal, runs quality checks at the stages set there and keeps handover records.

Your contract for the works is with ELS Design and Build; your proposal names each trade and what it supplies. Completion, dates and rectification obligations are the ones set in your contract.

Bespoke and ELS+ are different things

ELS Bespoke describes how extensively a project is customised. ELS+ describes how it is delivered. A Bespoke project can also use ELS+. They are not ascending price tiers.

ELS+

A kitchen using standard ALUMAX cabinets, with new tiles, plumbing, ceiling and electrical work.

ELS Bespoke

A custom kitchen with a curved island, concealed doors and specially fabricated metal details, delivered as drawings and specifications.

ELS Bespoke — delivered by ELS+.

That same custom kitchen with ELS+ coordinating fabrication, installation and the surrounding renovation: ELS Bespoke, delivered by ELS+.

ALUMAX Bespoke products and ELS Bespoke projects

ALUMAX may supply one custom cabinet or metal component; ELS designs how the whole space works together.

Standard ALUMAX products can sit alongside the custom elements. ELS tells you when a recommendation involves ALUMAX or another commercial partner.

How Bespoke is priced

No Bespoke fee is published. The price is set by assessment and stated in your proposal. It depends on design complexity, development work, fabrication and the delivery scope you select.

Project evidence

Concept studies

No completed ELS Bespoke project is published yet.

Until one is, the Design Library's concept studies show design direction. Each is labelled a concept study. None is a completed project.
