KIT-05DS23A
Tall-unit and fridge placement
Kitchen- Best for
- Keeping the worktop continuous — one unbroken prep surface, with the fridge and the tall storage standing together at the end nearest the entry or the dining side.
- Watch out
- The group is deep and tall; at the wrong end it blocks a window or crowds the door. The fridge door needs clear space to open fully against the run's end.
- Cost effect
- Neutral to slightly less — fewer junctions between tall and base cabinetry, so fewer fillers and end panels.
- Scope effect
- Fixes which end takes the power point and any water point for the fridge; decide with the layout (DS17), because the group's end sets the prep-zone length.
- Best for
- Placing the fridge near the entry or dining side and the oven tower near the cooking zone, when one tall group would put one of them in the wrong place.
- Watch out
- Each tall unit breaks the worktop; two breaks means two shorter prep surfaces, and more end panels and junctions to detail.
- Cost effect
- Slightly more — additional end panels, fillers and junction details.
- Scope effect
- Two power positions and two junctions to draw; both must be fixed before the carcass order, because a tall unit cannot move once the base run is cut around it.
