Standardising the bathroom.
One clearly defined role per brand, ten decisions taken in the right order, and every model tied to its installation interface. The register keeps a good-looking bathroom from failing at the parts nobody sees.
Standard planning specs only — brand names and reference links are recorded facts; “Model / SKU” and “Finish code” are fields to source and verify, never values shown here. No prices.
One role each, then ten decisions
The brand stack works only when each brand keeps a single, clearly defined and standardised role.
Modular / open bathroom storage systems
Floor traps, anti-odour cores, cleanouts and specialist drainage outlets
潜水艇 (Submarine)Higold officially covers storage and bathroom hardware; 潜水艇 offers different trap constructions for different drainage conditions; and HEGII positions itself as a multi-category bathroom-solutions supplier.
Users and bathroom type
ALUMAX standardisation ruleClassify as master, family, child, elderly-accessible, guest, powder room or public bathroom. Select accessories according to the users and the frequency of use.
Main trapUsing the same package everywhere creates inaccessible storage, unsafe movement or unnecessary cost.
Wet, semi-wet and dry zones
ALUMAX standardisation ruleMap the shower / bath, basin, toilet and dry-storage zones before placing accessories. Use moisture-compatible products in each zone.
Main trapCabinet baskets, electrical accessories and mirrors are positioned where they receive constant spray or condensation.
Toilet configuration
ALUMAX standardisation ruleStandardise the HEGII options into conventional floor-mounted, wall-hung, concealed-cistern, smart and accessible packages.
Main trapThe model is ordered before confirming the waste outlet, rough-in, water pressure, electrical supply, side clearance and maintenance access.
Basin, countertop and vanity format
ALUMAX standardisation ruleChoose an integrated ceramic basin, under-mount, above-counter, wall-hung basin or double basin. Coordinate the overflow, tap position and usable counter space.
Main trapAn attractive basin leaves insufficient countertop space, causes splashing or conflicts with the drawers and plumbing.
Vanity construction and mounting
ALUMAX standardisation ruleSelect wall-hung or floor-standing; aluminium, suitable plywood or moisture-resistant construction; finished with drawers, doors or open shelves.
Main trapA “water-resistant” door finish is placed over a carcass or backing that swells when exposed to moisture.
Storage allocation and accessory system
ALUMAX standardisation ruleUse 酷太 for system storage and Higold for approved in-cabinet baskets. Allocate toiletries, towels, hair tools, laundry, cleaning supplies and spare toilet rolls before selecting mechanisms.
Main trapAccessories are chosen from catalogue images but do not fit the cabinet, the plumbing or the actual possessions. Kitchen baskets may also need verification for humid bathroom use.
Faucet, shower and bathtub system
ALUMAX standardisation ruleStandardise the HEGII basin mixers, shower mixers, handheld showers, rain showers and baths into Essential, Signature and Bespoke packages.
Main trapConcealed valves are installed without service access, or the shower is selected without checking water pressure, heater capacity and simultaneous flow.
Floor trap and drainage performance
ALUMAX standardisation ruleMatch each 潜水艇 trap to shower, general-floor, washing-machine or backflow-risk use. Record the outlet size, direction, installation depth, flow capacity, removable hair strainer and anti-odour mechanism.
Main trapChoosing only by the grate appearance. The trap may be too deep, restrict flow, conflict with the slab or sit above the required floor gradient.
Mirror, lighting and electrical accessories
ALUMAX standardisation ruleChoose a plain mirror, mirror cabinet, illuminated mirror, demister, magnifying mirror, shaver point and hair-dryer storage. Coordinate the wiring and maintenance access.
Main trapMirror size is fixed before tap height, wall lights and outlets. Drivers or transformers become inaccessible behind finished panels.
Visible accessory package and finish
ALUMAX standardisation rulePackage the towel bars, robe hooks, toilet-roll holder, bidet spray, brush, shower shelf, soap dispenser and grab bars in coordinated finishes.
Main trapBlack, champagne and gunmetal finishes from different brands rarely match perfectly. Accessories installed without backing loosen from tiles or hollow walls.

Do not let the customer choose the grate first. The correct sequence is:
- For showers, specify high-flow drainage and removable hair collection.
- For rarely used dry floors, choose an anti-odour mechanism that does not rely only on a water seal that can evaporate.
- Washing machines should use a dedicated connection rather than share an unsuitable general floor trap.
Critical compatibility fields
Every item is recorded against these before it is approved — the interface, not just the product.
Who owns what
- ALUMAXVisible products, approved SKUs, colours, storage intent, cabinet integration and indicative pricing.
- Plumbing specialistWater pressure, piping, outlets, drainage, gradients, waterproofing interfaces, installation and testing.

The largest trap is standardising by brand without standardising the installation interface. Every approved model needs a matching rough-in drawing, cabinet template, service requirement and replacement-parts record.
