In use

A bin or two stands on the floor beside the cabinet — nothing is built in. It is the cheapest option and moves anywhere, but it eats floor space in a tight terrace or apartment kitchen, gets in the way of a door swing, and sits out in the open where wet-kitchen heat and humidity let smell and flies build. Without a sealed lid you bend to an exposed bin, and the volume under the sink stays dead space.

How it looks
The cabinet fronts are unaffected, but a bin stands in the open on the floor — usually the one part of the kitchen that never quite looks tidy.
Integrated pull-out bin
In use
A single bin rides on a runner behind an ordinary door or drawer front — pull it open, drop the waste, push it shut, and the lid and the smell stay sealed inside the cabinet. It clears the floor of a narrow wet kitchen and turns the dead space under or beside the sink into working storage; the closed carcase keeps Sarawak heat, odour and flies off the rubbish between empties.

In use
Two or more bins share one pull-out so general waste, recycling and wet food scraps are separated at the moment you throw them, while a separate ventilated pull-out hamper takes laundry off the floor — often along a run shared between the wet kitchen and an adjoining utility or bathroom wall. Every bin is reachable without bending into a cupboard, and several jobs that used to sprawl across a small terrace floor now live inside one cabinet run; the ventilated hamper lets damp Sarawak laundry breathe instead of souring in a closed basket.
