Shadow gap at the floor, not a plinth

The problem

A pale carcass that sits directly on the floor shows the mop line — and it shows it at the eye level of someone seated, which is where people actually look.

What ELS does

Lift the whole run and let a shadow gap, not a plinth, meet the floor.

Why it works

A recess reads as intentional and hides the dirt line a flush plinth advertises. It also keeps the wet edge away from the board.

Dimensions
  • toe kicks continuous at 80–120 mm
  • reveal grid held at 2–3 mm
