Colour that works in Sarawak
Humidity, heat, and UV exposure fade some colours faster than others. Our palettes are tested and tuned for Sarawak's climate. See how your palette pairs with flooring and hardware.
Why colour matters in Sarawak
☀️ UV fading & heat
Tropical sun fades light pastels in 18–24 months. Dark colours and matte finishes hold tone longer. We recommend premium paint with UV inhibitors.
💧 Humidity & mildew
High humidity encourages mildew on porous surfaces. Sage and cool greens resist mildew better than warm neutrals. Use fungicide paint in bathrooms and kitchens.
🎨 Visual thermal load
Dark walls absorb heat psychologically (& physically in direct sun). Cool palettes (blues, greys, pale greens) reduce the sensation of heat. Light ceilings brighten dark rooms.
We grade every strong technical claim by its evidence and review them on a schedule. A manufacturer test is not a design lean — we label which is which rather than dress one up as the other.
Claims last reviewed 2026-07-23. Figures are planning guidance, not warranties — real performance depends on the specific product, its installation and the site's exposure, and is confirmed on the product datasheet and after site measurement.
