Veneered window sill corners against condensation

The problem

A timber-veneered sill turns an external corner right where condensation collects, and any concealed timber edge left unsealed there swells and lifts the veneer.

What ELS does

Seal every concealed timber edge at the sill corner and detail a moisture separation, confirming the overhang and joint sequence before fabrication.

Why it works

Condensation at glass is constant in this climate; the corner survives only if no raw timber edge is exposed to it and the joint sheds water the right way.

Written for planning, not construction. Confirm every dimension against your approved project drawings.
