One declared grain direction across a run

The problem

Run a timber front with the grain going whichever way each door was cut, and the moment the run is side-lit the adjacent doors read as different products.

What ELS does

Declare one grain direction for the whole run before production, and match every leaf to it.

Why it works

Timber reflects light along the grain, so mixed directions catch the light differently and the eye reads them as a mismatch — the defect only appears on site, under real side light, never flat in the workshop.

Written for planning, not construction. Confirm every dimension against your approved project drawings.
